Users were not able to quickly understand categories or compare services, which made the platform feel harder to use, especially for first-time visitors.
In a marketplace where users expect quick and easy discovery, this created hesitation and drop-offs. The platform needed a more organised and intuitive approach so that users could browse services, understand offerings, and take action without confusion.
Skill Space is an online talent marketplace designed to make discovering and accessing professional services simple and intuitive. The client’s vision was to build a platform where users could instantly understand categories, offerings, and value, without feeling overwhelmed on their first visit. Clarity, structure, and ease of exploration were key priorities across mobile and web.
We developed the platform using React Native, Node.js, FastAPI, and Python, ensuring consistent performance across iOS, Android, and web. The application was structured around well-defined categories and service cards, making it easy for users to browse talent, understand services, and take action confidently. Both the frontend and backend were designed to support scalability while keeping the user experience clean, accessible, and intuitive.
